PHOTO NOTES-lesson 2.

focussed on the image then moved the camera to the right
 so that the image was focussed on the left.
FOCUS - the subect, the light reflecting from the subject, the lens correctly focussed, the light refracted by lens onto sensor.
SHUTTER SPEED - how fast the shutter opns and closes to let the light into the camera.
Expressed fraction
  • 1/250th of a second is fast (catch in motion)
  • 1/30th of a second is slow (dark conditions)
APERTURE - how big the opening of the lens is to let light in (like our eyes)
Expressed in f-numbers
  • F/2.1 is large
  • F/22 is small
The higher the number, higher the depth of field.
